Freedom of the Fairways

The Buccleuch is able to offer a wide range of customised packages and options for you at one of the Borders 21 golf courses. The packages below begin with short breaks and progress to longer stays of up to 5 nights.

Freedom of the Fairways is a golf pass that is valid in the Scottish Borders from April until the end of October and is the best selling golf pass in Scotland. The scheme is ideal for individuals or groups and provides golfers with different options for all ages. For a fixed fee, a three-day passport which is valid for up to six rounds on consecutive weekdays. There are also Junior and Senior passes available.

With 21 courses to choose from, including two championship standard courses The Roxburghe, near Kelso and new Cardrona golf and country club, the Scottish Borders has some great golf on offer.

We are working with a small selection of varied courses, but that doesn’t mean you are limited to these courses. Prices are subject to change.

Golf packages at the Hotel are based on 2 persons sharing twin or double rooms and are quoted on a per person basis. Rooms for single occupancy will be available at a supplement of £15.00 per night. Packages are available any night of the week. (Excluding Freedom of the fairways) Please allow a degree of flexibility on your itinerary prior to your booking being confirmed as in some cases your preferred golf course or tee time may not be available at your stated time.

A non refundable deposit of £20.00 per person is payable on making a reservation. Following receipt of your deposit you will receive a written confirmation of your itinerary.
