1.    Do you have an iron and ironing board for customers?
  • Yes, just ask a member of staff or phone reception

2.    Are dogs allowed in the hotel?
  • Yes, the dogs are allowed in all public areas including bedrooms.  Any pets that will be in guest’s bedrooms therefore have an extra charge of £5 per night.

3.    What does DB&B stand for?
  • Dinner Bed And Breakfast. Look out for our special offers!

4.    Do you cater for people with special dietary requirement? eg. Wheat allergy
  • Yes we would ask you to inform the waiting staff and then pass on this information to our chef who will be able to provide you with a suitable choice of food.

5.    Do you have bedrooms suitable for disabled/wheelchair users?
  •  Unfortunately we don’t have a lift up to our bedrooms so therefore we can’t accommodate disabled/wheelchair users. However our stairs are wide and deep and have a rail and the corroders are also spacious.

7.    How far is the hotel from Edinburgh?
  • We are approx 42 miles away from Edinburgh.

8.    Do you have a regular bus service to Edinburgh?
  • Yes we do, we also have a recent bus time table for your use which you will find at the reception or visit www.munrosofjedburgh.co.uk    

9.    Is there another pub in the village?
  • Yes, the Legion and the Cricket Club

10.  Do you have Sky?
  • No we don’t but we have digital televisions offering lots of Freeview channels but if you are looking for this facility then there is the Railway in Newtown St Boswells or we would recommend The Ship in Melrose.

11.  Is there a designated smoking area?
  • Yes we allow smoking in our Court Yard. Ask a member of staff where to go if you are unsure.

12.  What does the “Supplement” bit on the menu mean?
  • It just means that if you order eg a steak that is subject to a supplementary charge you will incur an extra charge on top of your Dinner, Bed & Breakfast tariff.

13.   How do you pronounce the name of the hotel?
  • It's pronounced "Buck-loo"
